The Yumi Date Company consists of large desert farms in the Yuma Arizona and Bard California regions, all planted with Medjool Date Palms. Date palms were first planted on their ranches in the early 1970s. The date palms, which can get to over fifty feet in height, naturally produce offshoots and many of these offshoots were planted on neighboring farms.
Based in historic Yuma Arizona, also known as “The Sunniest City on Earth” by The Guinness Book of World Records, they farm every desert acre using advanced environmentally friendly cultural practices and with only organic materials. With the desert sun ripening the dates to perfection and with their farming team handling each date with care without rough mechanical processes, they produce the finest tastiest organic Medjool Dates.
